About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor for the Space Force Range Contract. Typical Duties Implement policies to ensure a comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Program and sustain a culture of safety through various forums, special projects and metric reporting. Lead and supervise a geographically dispersed team while ensuring they are trained and qualified to successfully plan and accomplish their EHS duties. Ensure department is adequately staffed with qualified personnel. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and customer instructions to include: OSHA, CALOSHA, FDEP, Space Launch Delta 45 and 30, US Space Force and Space and Missile Systems Center. Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions in accordance with applicable contract Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL). Implement EHS training development, delivery, tracking in the Learning Management System (LMS) and reporting. Lead emergency preparedness, planning and responses during natural and man-made disasters and pandemics. Advise Safety & Mission Assurance Manager on special assignments. Author, implement and enforce policies, procedures and directive documents. Manage mass communication system and ensure data is current. Ensure compliance with all customer directed exercise and real-world emergency responses. Lead internal mishap investigations as directed by the Safety & Mission Assurance Manager. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of six (6) years of direct EHS related experience
  • Minimum of four (4) years of prior supervisory experience, with work experience showing increased scope of responsibility
  • Knowledge of CALOSHA requirements
  • Knowledge of Federal and California environmental regulations, as well as Santa Barbara and San Mateo counties
  • Experience with Enterprise Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health - Management Information System (EESOH-MIS)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.
  • Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Familiar with HAZCOM, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space entry, and Electrical Safety Program conduct
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1900-1910 and 1926, EPA and familiarity with, NFPA, and ANSI Standards
  • Ability to use ladders and stairs
  • Ability lift, push, pull and carry up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to travel across the enterprise as needed
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

  • Experience with Launch Ranges or Aerospace, preferred
  • Experience with mishap investigation (non-aircraft), preferred
  • Background in Industrial Hygiene Program requirements and field application, preferred
  • Experience in Safety Program conduct and field maintenance, preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • STEM Degree, preferred
  • Professional credentials, preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) – you have this included Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) – you have this included Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) – you have this included
  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training completion
  • OSHA 30-hour training course completion
