Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for supporting Linamar’s Health and Safety program which would include auditing, prepare reports and assist the joint health and safety committee. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an Occupational Health and Safety program.
  • Good written and oral skills
  • Self-motivated with initiative
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to troubleshoot and multi-task
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize

Nice To Haves

  • Previous health and safety experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support initiatives to enhance plant-wide health and safety practices.
  • Help facilitate safety and health training sessions for employees.
  • Conduct safety and health inspections and audits on the manufacturing floor, ensuring documentation compliance.
  • Assist in managing and tracking incident reports and the incident management process.
  • Participate in investigations of workplace accidents and incidents.
  • Verifying current policies and procedures are following the Occupational Health and Safety Act/Regulations and other relevant workplace legislation.
  • Assist with safety orientations for new hires.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on new hire drug screening processes.
  • Review safety, illness and injury statistics, conducting trend analysis and providing recommendations for continuous improvement to ensure lost time is minimized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
