About The Position
Responsible for aiding in facilitating the Company’s safety and environmental programs, including adherence to safety and environmental laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Pursuing a relevant degree, preferably in occupational safety and health.
- Ability to research all pertinent safety laws and regulations (MIOSHA, OSHA, DEQ, EPA, DOT, etc.).
- Interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with unions, federal, state, local and insurance inspectors, and corporate management and employees.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Aides in development and implementation of plant environmental, health and safety programs.
- Aides in developing and implementing safety practices, procedures, and policies.
