About The Position

Etnyre International is a growing, family-owned manufacturer of road construction and maintenance equipment. We are hiring a Seasonal Environmental, Health and Safety Intern to support workplace safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. This internship offers hands-on exposure to Environmental, Health, and Safety in a real-world manufacturing environment. You will play an active role in advancing our EHS program by working directly with team members, participating in safety initiatives, and supporting projects that help create a safer, healthier workplace. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience while collaborating with leaders across the organization.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Comfortable adapting to shifting priorities and changing environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Some bending and twisting are required.
  • Routine duties will occasionally require lifting approximately 10-20 pounds (and periodically heavier loads.)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ergonomic assessments and improvement initiatives
  • Support industrial hygiene sampling activities
  • Conduct safety and environmental audits and help develop reports with corrective actions
  • Assist with job hazard assessments and incident investigations
  • Coordinate and support EHS-related projects and initiatives
  • Participate in the company safety committee and department safety talks
  • Assist with developing and delivering EHS training for employees
  • Help promote safe work practices in compliance with federal, state, local, and company requirements
  • Assist with maintaining safety records and documentation
  • Support general oversight of Environmental, Health, and Safety activities across the organization
