From your PASSION to ours Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern based in Londonderry, NH. The Role: Make an Impact The EHS Intern will support the implementation of Londonderry’s environmental management system. The role includes developing a tool for tracking the facility’s environmental objectives and assisting in preparing the site for Lactalis’ internal ISO 14001 audit. Additionally, the EHS Intern will collaborate with the plant’s operational supervisors and department managers to align duties with the company's goals and values. This role will report to the EHS Manager.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a college junior, senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, EPA, OSHA).
• Ability to analyze data related to environmental performance and sustainability metrics.
• Strong attention to detail when performing audits, inspections, and maintaining compliance documentation.
• Approach tasks with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and a degree of ambiguity.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including EHS professionals, operations personnel, and engineering teams.
• A “sponge” mentality—quick to absorb new information, techniques, and feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to support report writing, training documentation, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of environmental management system (ISO 14001).
• Create a tracking tool for the facility’s environmental objectives.
• Establish a continuous improvement process for environmental practices across all departments (e.g., production, maintenance).
• Organize and set up an environmental document control system.
• Ensure related facility documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Assist in facilitating emergency exercises related to the plant’s major environmental assets.
• Support environmental change management in all departments.
