About The Position

The EHS Analyst is responsible for supporting the Company's strategy to develop and execute Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs by enabling a culture of data-driven decision making, system-supported problem solving and predictive analysis. The Analyst will be instrumental in helping the EHS Team provide comprehensive risk assessments, develop and execute consistent, "One TJX" injury prevention and cost mitigation programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Business, Statistics, EHS or relevant study or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience in data analytics, specific environmental health & safety experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel with intermediate or advanced skills in pivot tables and writing formulas.
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other dashboard-building software.
  • Interest or experience in automation software such as Blue Prism or Power Automate.
  • Technical knowledge of data systems/structure.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data into relevant insights.
  • Ability to present data in a logical, concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lead priorities and workflow.
  • Deeply curious, with a consultative approach, and strong listening and diagnostic skills.
  • High professional standards for customer service, confidentiality, and quality of work.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire, analyze, and manage data into consistent and timely user-friendly formats for reports distributed throughout the organization.
  • Responsible for identifying trends in leading and lagging performance metrics using pivot tables, charts, graphs and updating appropriate dashboards to influence decision making.
  • Tracks companywide regulatory agency (i.e. OSHA, Fire Code) investigation status and response strategies.
  • Manages configuration and content availability on EHS dedicated intranet (SharePoint) site and Teams channels.
  • Validates reported data and ensures data quality.
  • Completes developer requirements within federated and automation teams.
  • Documents and maintain process workflows and data workflows for EHS data and metrics reporting and tracking processes and seek opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Exhibits ability to communicate with individuals and groups, both internal and external and provides data and analysis that is understandable to the user and meets partner needs.
  • Special projects as assigned.
