About The Position

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern will be a part of the Global Environmental, Health & Safety department, reporting to the Vice President. In this role, the successful candidate will perform a myriad of tasks across a wide range of subject matters. The successful candidate will be exposed to both environmental compliance subject areas (e.g. air, stormwater, emergency management, etc.) and occupational safety subject areas (e.g. hazardous chemical management, job hazard analysis, safety education systems, etc.). YOUR ROLE, YOUR IMPACT L earn and apply EHS principles across environmental compliance and occupational safety domains. Update and revise the Environmental Management Information System (EMIS) to ensure accurate and current data. Develop forms and questionnaires to gather feedback from stakeholders. Review / revise chemical inventories and database used for outward communications. Create training program content based on corporate procedures. Conduct terminal visits to perform inventory surveys of air-emissions related infrastructure. Assist EHS Manager level staff with rebranding of our compliance form system. Aid in preparation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions data. Participate in ad hoc projects as needed. Perform limited data entry and clerical tasks to support EHS initiatives.

Requirements

  • Education Requirement: Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with an interest in Environmental Studies or Health & Safety.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities while meeting expected deadlines.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated and energetic.
  • Strong work ethic and tenacity.
  • Current drivers license and means to travel locally (day trips only) (Mileage reimbursement provided)
