This role is essential for overseeing utility systems and tackling environmental challenges within the department. Although direct supervisory duties may not be part of your role, you might need to step in during exceptional circumstances to uphold safety and security standards. Furthermore, your contributions are critical to the department's Continuity of Government Relocation Team, which ensures the preservation of vital functions during emergencies. Requirements

  • Two years as an Environmental Engineer or an Air Quality Engineer (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Five years of professional engineering experience in environmental protection or in environmental project development, design and/or construction.
  • You must be in possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
