About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Junior Environmental Engineer Consultant with 5+ years of experience to join our Plymouth, MA office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow their technical skills, work with a collaborative team, and contribute to meaningful environmental projects. As a Junior Environmental Engineer Consultant, you will support a wide range of environmental and engineering projects for industrial, commercial, and municipal clients. You’ll work closely with senior staff to conduct fieldwork, prepare technical reports, analyze environmental data, and assist in the development of engineering solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to projects that make a measurable impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant environmental consulting or engineering experience
  • EIT
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and industry standards
  • Experience with field sampling methods and environmental investigation techniques
  • Proficiency with engineering software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in remedial design under the direction of a professional engineer
  • Conduct field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and air sampling
  • Assist with site assessments (Phase I and Phase II ESAs)
  • Support environmental remediation projects, including system design, implementation, and monitoring
  • Prepare technical reports, data summaries, and regulatory documentation
  • Perform engineering calculations and assist in developing design plans
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, laboratories, and project stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution
  • Maintain accurate field notes, logs, and documentation
  • Support senior engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks
