About The Position

Environmental Compliance Intern Want to make a real impact on the environment while gaining hands-on experience? Join us as an Environmental Compliance Intern! What You'll Do: Assist with data collection, entry, and reporting for City Utilities' environmental and public health programs. Support compliance programs, public outreach events, and preparation of regulatory documents. Coordinate with water filtration and pollution control facilities to track environmental reports. Help update Standard Operating Procedures and assist in fieldwork and laboratory tasks. Assists in the City's Water Pollution Control Plant laboratory. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a degree program in environmental science, biology, sustainability, public health, or a closely related field or are a recent graduate from a related program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with the public and colleagues.
• Basic math and reasoning skills; ability to follow instructions and problem-solve in standardized situations.
• If using a City vehicle: valid Indiana Driver's License or equivalent with verified driving record.
