Entry Level Systems Engineer – SLCMN Program
About The Position
As an Entry Level Systems Engineer for the SLCM-N Program, you will provide technical coordination across all systems engineering activities to ensure alignment between system architecture, requirements, subsystem implementation, and program milestones. In this role, you will contribute to the definition, integration, and verification of system capabilities to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives while maintaining technical integrity and compliance with program standards. The Systems Engineer serves as a central integrator for system engineering, with responsibility for managing the system specification and system model, coordinating capability decomposition, overseeing requirement traceability, and ensuring alignment between software, hardware, integration, and test teams. This role requires close collaboration with Baseline Leads, Technical Leads, Product Owners, the Systems Architect, Chief Engineer, and DPMEs to deliver a cohesive, mission-ready capability.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice To Haves
- Agile experience preferred.
- Experience supporting or working on strategic defense or deterrence programs, ideally with exposure to sea-launched or submarine-based weapon systems.
- Background in systems engineering, requirements decomposition, system architecture, or integration and test for large, complex defense systems with high security and certification standards.
- Proven ability to align cross-functional engineering roles—including Baseline Leads, Technical Leads, and Product Teams—to deliver integrated system capabilities on cost and schedule.
- Familiarity with naval program development, acquisition processes, and coordination with the U.S. Navy and other national security partners.
- Proven communication and ability to interface with internal and customer leadership
- Advanced knowledge of technologies, principles, theories and concepts
- Fosters an environment to motivate and push for professional development for yourself and others
- Strategically manages risks, opportunities, and conflict resolution.
