About The Position

As a Systems Engineer for the SLCM-N Program, you will support systems engineering activities that keep system architecture, requirements, subsystem development, and program milestones aligned. You will help define, integrate, and verify system capabilities to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals while ensuring technical integrity and compliance with program standards. The Systems Engineer contributes to the system specification and system model, supports capability decomposition, maintains requirement traceability, and helps coordinate work across software, hardware, integration, and test teams. This position collaborates with Baseline Leads, Technical Leads, Product Owners, the Systems Architect, Chief Engineer, and DPMEs to deliver a cohesive, mission-ready capability.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Work on strategic defense or deterrence programs, especially sea-launched or submarine-based systems
  • Systems engineering, requirements decomposition, system architecture, or integration and test for complex defense systems
  • Collaboration with Baseline Leads, Technical Leads, and Product Teams to support integrated capability delivery
  • Familiarity with naval program development, acquisition processes, and coordination with U.S. Navy partners
  • Experience with SP23 Programs, especially with systems engineering workflows, requirements structures, and program processes
  • Proven communication and ability to interface with internal and customer leadership
  • Advanced knowledge of technologies, principles, theories and concepts
  • Fosters an environment to motivate and push for professional development for yourself and others
  • Strategically manages risks, opportunities, and conflict resolution.
  • Agile experience preferred.
