About The Position

Syndicate is a growing organization that provides shared services and operational support to multiple affiliated entities. Our accounting team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable processes across the organization. Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, soon-to-graduate students, or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. You will support day-to-day accounting operations while learning from experienced professionals in a collaborative setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent or soon to be graduates encouraged to apply) – Please include your anticipated graduation date on your application
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships in accounting or finance are a plus)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar) is preferred but not required-we provide training
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GAAP
  • Experience with data entry or financial software

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Support accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes, including invoice processing and collections
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals and adjustments
  • Help prepare financial reports, balance sheets, and profit/loss statements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and basic GAAP principles
  • Collaborate with the team on audits, budgeting, and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
