About The Position

We are currently in need of an Entry Level Payroll Administrator. The Entry Level Payroll Administrator manages & process all payroll functions for assigned dealerships. Employees in this position will be paid an hourly wage ranging from $22.00/hr to $25.00/hr. Requirements

  • Ability to perform multi-site payroll processes or have extensive multi-site payroll processing experience.
  • Ability to protect confidential information & perform in a fast paced & flexible business office environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Software; MS Excel, Word & Office.
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
  • Computer literate and must be able to learn Company software
  • Understands employee payroll issues, and communicates solutions effectively, professionally, and respectfully with employees including Management staff

Nice To Haves

  • Prior automotive and/or accounting experience a huge plus!

Responsibilities

  • Process all payroll for assigned dealerships.
  • Compiles payroll data such as hours worked; sales volume, bonuses, and commissions; monies to be withheld for taxes; employee contributions to insurance and retirement plans; etc., from time sheets and other records.
  • Updates master payroll records by verifying and recording changes affecting net wages such as federal and state tax exemptions, insurance coverage, etc., and data concerning compensation increases, promotions, and/or transfer of employees between departments.
  • Audits payroll transactions to ensure accuracy of all wage/tax management reports & general ledger interface.
  • Keeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.
  • Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
  • Prepares & maintains all personnel files; hiring and termination paperwork.
  • Maintains records for vacations and sick-day eligibility.
  • Prepares & handles issues relating to bank statements & other related accounted reports.
  • Generate & distribute payroll & management reports.
  • Interacts with employees regarding payroll information, including researching & responding to payroll related questions.
  • Prepare & review payroll journal entries.
  • Responsible for timely responses to incoming withholding orders & processing garnishments
