About The Position

Administrative Support Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and digital files for tracking member information, leave balances, and other records. Prepare reports, correspondence, and meeting materials for union officers and committees. Ensure accuracy and timely completion of scanned and uploaded documents. Public & Member-Facing Duties Serve as a first point of contact for members, contractors, and the public, both in person and over the phone. Provide courteous, accurate, and timely assistance with inquiries. Support communication efforts by managing the administrator email inbox, directing messages, and ensuring responses are provided promptly. Organizational Skills Coordinate schedules, appointments, and meeting logistics as assigned. Assist in cross-training efforts to ensure continuity of office functions. Help maintain orderly and efficient office systems to support staff and membership needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous administrative, bookkeeping, or office support experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with union members, contractors, and the public.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork.
  • Understanding of and respect for the values and mission of organized labor, particularly the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking preferred
