You must be currently at least 18 years of age and enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school degree program to participate. This program runs from May 18th through August 14th. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Learn about roles and responsibilities of leadership Learn scheduling and time-keeping procedures Assist with written communication Understand the importance of theatrical venue safety and other production areas and how they play a role in our success Coordinate with Contract Acts for load-ins and load-outs, determining scheduling and technical needs. Serve as a liaison between Contract Acts and the Entertainment and Events Team for on-park needs. Work closely with Entertainment and Events Leadership to gain a working knowledge of booking and scheduling bands. Complete one production venue changeover as determined by Entertainment and Events management Ensure all venues are properly maintained by the standards set by Entertainment and Events management Basic stagecraft Set up acts on stage Changing over from one act to another in a fast-paced environment Set up lights, run lights, mix sound, and set up sound systems Perform routine maintenance on both lighting and sound systems Demonstrate attention to detail in equipment set-up and operation Interact with fellow employees without distracting them while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude. Keep your work area clean and maintain organization Ensure compliance with all authorized operator requirements and safety procedures specific to the job location Remain alert and attentive during each performance to ensure a flawless production Promptly respond to any issues which may during a performance Display original thinking and creativity when planning for show mounting and/or production Share knowledge and experience with the technical team to aid in the set-up and implementation of shows; Provide informal leadership in the absence of a Supervisor when requested Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Required Skills: Must be self-motivated Able to read and write English. Basic computer skills with proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Education/Experience: Must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program in a related field. Working toward a degree in the live entertainment industry, such as Technical Theatre preferred. Two years of previous experience with different types of equipment and methods of live lighting or sound reinforcement is required. Relevant experience may include theme parks, theatre, and amateur productions. Experience should include live lighting, sound or band situations, video projection, and stage carpentry. A valid Driver’s License.
