About The Position

Manages the activities, general programming and technical operations of all Harrah’s and Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe entertainment venues. Technical venues to include but not limited to: SSR, Center Stage, Tahoe Live, Caesars Republic Cabaret, SEC, Caesars Republic Convention Center, Peek, Rendezvous Lounge, Outdoor Concert Venue. Additional duties include the management and oversight of the Box Office.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent; College and/or technical education preferred
  • Minimum two years related technical experience
  • Minimum five years entertainment event production or related experience preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of marketing or promotional programming experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Literate and fluent in English
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of stage terminology and technical equipment
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
  • Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and re-position large objects weighing up to 100lbs
  • Ability to work at heights of up to 40 feet
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dark environment
  • Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the operations, programming and staffing of the entertainment venues at Harrah’s and Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe.
  • Manages all technical aspects, including lighting and sound, for all property entertainment venues
  • Ensures staging design and equipment meets performing artists’ specifications.
  • Supervises technical entertainment needs of other property departments as they relate to special functions and events.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance for technical equipment, i.e. cables, fixtures, switchboards, microphones and stage riggings to ensure performance readiness.
  • Schedules assigned personnel for maximum efficiency while meeting stage and production needs.
  • Works with the Entertainment Director, Marketing Director, corporate counterparts, booking partners, the stars’ personal managers, conductors, individual headliners and other performers, or choreography directors, to discuss and coordinate the details of individual stage production requirements.
  • Plans and implements the development and directs the stage team to provide required stage sets.
  • Prepares and establishes cue lists for stage properties, special effects, lights and curtains, and supervises rehearsals to ensure that the stage and crew are prepared for each performance.
  • Generates ideas and makes programming recommendations for expanding the entertainment offerings at the Lake Tahoe properties.
  • Directs each performance to assure that the production follows the established schedule, and that cues are met promptly. Assumes responsibility for the custody of stage properties and equipment and establishes and maintains a preventive maintenance program on all mechanical equipment.
  • Ensures that the acts conform to Harrah’s/ Caesars Republic stage presentation standards and submits written reports regarding special or unusual problems that may develop.
  • Stays abreast of all new staging techniques and equipment, in addition to competitors’ entertainment policies, and informs the Public Relations/Entertainment Director accordingly.
  • Oversee changes in the South Shore Room Ticket system in regard to seating configuration and ratings, blocks, VIP and Executive ticketing.
  • Oversees seat inventory management to ensure smooth and efficient ticket operation and provide work direction and motivation to employees.
  • Manages all Box Office locations and Theater operations
  • Implements established safety policies and procedures and ensure the proper instruction of these policies and procedures.
  • Counsels and guides personnel in the proper performance of their duties. Prepares and coordinates the periodical performance review of assigned personnel.
  • Recommends changes for assigned personnel, including hiring, promoting, demoting and release of personnel; recommends wage and salary changes for assigned personnel within established limits.
