Entertainment Carpenter Technician - Blue Man Group - Luxor
About The Position
We're on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Entertainment Carpenter Tech to join the team at Luxor. In this hands-on role, you'll support the magic behind the scenes, working closely with the Production Manager to keep our sets, stages, and scenery running like clockwork. If you've got a sharp eye, steady hands, and a passion for live entertainment, this is your chance to help shape the show - one perfectly placed piece at a time. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest's experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Two (2) years of prior relevant experience as a Stage Carpenter
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of metal fabrication skills, theatrical rigging hardware and techniques, cabinetry construction, and scenic painting preferred
Responsibilities
- Build scenery, props, and other items as directed, and learn to run show cues
- Support rehearsals and trainings as needed by the department head, artistic team, or stage management
- Take part in department safety checks, keep inspection records updated, and always follow safety rules and attend required safety and rescue training
- Write down any repairs and help document equipment, supplies, and procedures to keep everything running smoothly
- Help clean and maintain the theatre, showroom, shop, and warehouse
- Operate forklifts or similar equipment when needed
