The Enterprise UX Technical Writer sits within the Enterprise UX team and ensures quality end-user experience for ICE employees through clear technical documentation and communications that drive technology adoption. The ability to quickly learn new technologies and translate complex information into simple and engaging content is essential. The ability to programmatically apply user experience best practices to technical process documentation is critical.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects concurrently and meet committed deadlines.
  • Exhibits a strong work ethic, active curiosity, self-motivation, and commitment to teamwork. Strong decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with generative AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar), prompt engineering and AI content validation
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with ability to maintain voice consistency across AI and human-generated content
  • Technical aptitude to quickly master enterprise applications and translate complex features into user-friendly documentation
  • Proficiency with M365 applications and enterprise ITSM systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in technical communications, professional writing, English, journalism, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Knowledge Centered Service (KCS) methodology
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise platforms
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and basic UX design principles
  • Experience with data analytics tools for measuring content effectiveness

Responsibilities

  • Build cross-enterprise relationships with SMEs to capture institutional knowledge and scale documentation efforts.
  • Author technical documentation and IT change communications for enterprise systems. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, anticipate end-user needs, and make features and processes easy to understand. Maintain documents as updates or issues arise.
  • Leveraging strong prompt engineering and generative AI to accelerate content creation while maintaining quality standards.
  • Administer knowledge base configuration and analytics, using AI to identify content gaps and optimize information architecture
  • Adhere to and enforce technical writing standards for style, terminology, and structure across human and AI-generated content
  • Mentor content contributors on enterprise standards, writing processes, and responsible AI tool usage
