The Project Manager (PM) will be assigned to high priority projects for the South Carolina <\/div> Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS), the Medicaid Agency for SC. The PM <\/div> will interact with multiple business units and vendors. <\/div> Candidates who enjoy working on complex, change -oriented projects will find this position <\/div> attractive. <\/div> SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: <\/div> South Carolina seeks an expert in Project Management of medium to complex projects. <\/div> POSITION: <\/div> Project Manager <\/div> PRE -EMPLOYMENT CHECKS? <\/div> Criminal background check, credit, E -Verify and confidentiality form <\/div> DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: <\/div> The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a consultant <\/div> to act as Project Manager on multiple IT projects. <\/div> General Duties: <\/div> - Assists with developing business requirements; <\/div> - Building a project plan and executing to that plan; <\/div> - Managing project risks and issues; <\/div> - Ensuring that all deliverables and activities are completed with high quality and <\/div> in a timely fashion; <\/div> - Reporting on project status and strategies orally and in writing; <\/div> - Other related duties as assigned <\/div> The Project Manager will interact with staff, other team members, all levels of <\/div> management and internal and external organizations, including vendors performing <\/div> outsourced work, in the compilation and management of information needed for <\/div> project plans, portfolio/program plans, metrics, reports and project management <\/div> documentation. <\/div> Desired Skills and Experience: <\/div> - Experience working with SharePoint and other typical project management <\/div> tools, including Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project, Word, Access and Excel <\/div> - Experience working with risk management, including risk triggers and <\/div> managing risks to project plan tasks. <\/div> - Ability to create and document key project management documents and <\/div> artifacts <\/div> - Superb communications skills (written and oral) <\/div> - Effective listener <\/div> - Willingness and ability to effectively engage with people and organizations; <\/div> ability to get people with competing, diverse interests to work together <\/div> - Experience in Medicaid or other healthcare claims system(s) IT projects <\/div> preferred, but not mandatory <\/div> - Must be able to manage multiple high profile, high priority projects at one time <\/div> - People Skills <\/div> - Superb written and oral communications skills, including the ability to give <\/div> presentations to executive management. Strong proficiency in English is required.
