About The Position

As an Enterprise Data and Analytics Manager at Pine Rest, you’ll be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of data management and governance, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across the organization. This role leads the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of analytics best practices—including self-service, data visualization, and analytics-related platform standards for Epic, Workday, and other enterprise tools. The manager champions a data-driven culture by promoting business practices that leverage analytics for strategic decision-making at all levels. They provide leadership in the development and deployment of the organization’s AI strategy, with direct ownership of custom AI models and AI-focused applications. Supervision of the reporting and analytics team is a core responsibility, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The manager also facilitates the Reporting and Analytics Steering Committee (RASC) to align initiatives with organizational goals. Collaboration with other teams is essential to guarantee that application development and implementation are consistent with analytics strategies. As a member of the IS management team, the Data and Analytics Manager contributes to the achievement of broader Information Systems objectives and organizational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or data science.
  • Minimum 7 years of reporting and analytics experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a reporting and analytics team.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading analytics, data governance, or other large scale data initiatives and systems.
  • Experience with PowerBI or other data visualization tools is required.
  • Epic certification will be required within 12 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree preferred.
  • 5 years preferred.
  • Epic and/or Workday reporting certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive oversight of organizational data management and governance, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security are maintained at all times.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of analytics best practices, including self-service tools, data visualization standards, and platform guidelines across systems such as Epic, Workday, and other enterprise solutions.
  • Champion data-driven business practices by promoting the use of analytics for strategic decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Oversee the organization’s AI strategy, including the deployment and management of AI initiatives.
  • Hold direct ownership of custom AI models and AI-focused applications, ensuring their alignment with business goals and operational excellence.
  • Supervise the reporting and analytics team, fostering professional development and maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Facilitate the Reporting and Analytics Steering Committee (RASC) to ensure analytics initiatives support organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate with other teams to align application development and implementation with established analytics strategies.
  • Participate actively as a member of the Information Systems (IS) management team, contributing to department-wide and organizational success.
  • Oversee flat file extracts and transfers, excluding those managed through the Managed File Transfer system, to ensure secure and accurate data movement.
  • Oversee advanced end user reporting education for enterprise systems, supporting users in maximizing reporting capabilities and data literacy.
  • Coordinate with the Epic training and informatics teams to develop content and structure for Epic reporting training, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and user needs.
  • Own and manage vendor relationships for reporting and AI-focused systems, such as QlikView, Sully, and Lucem, to optimize system performance and support business objectives.
  • Oversee feature adoption in enterprise platforms for reporting and analytics-related features, maintaining a high adoption rate and ensuring users leverage available tools effectively.
  • Oversee maintenance and administration of various SQL servers.
  • Oversight of, and architectural support for data modeling, data warehousing, and data engineering.
