Project Description: The Enterprise Data & Analytics Technical Intern will perform real-time system monitoring, developing analytics, dashboards and tools as well as Own the process, tasks and projects assigned. Focus will be within Operational data and analytics, reporting, dashboarding and system monitoring. Typical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Learn Aveva (OSIsoft) PI near real-time systems Assist with various project deliverables - develop new analytics, models, dashboards, and processes using PI Vision, PowerBI, PI AF analytics, Python, and various programming and scripting languages. Assist with system updates, data maintenance Learn Agile methodology and Jira Contribute to building reports, documentations and architectural drawings This position is for a June 1st, 2026 start date. These positions may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship’s initial term based on the candidate’s successful performance and Xcel’s business needs.

Requirements

  • Current student, Junior status (as of Fall 2026).
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and Data Analytics.
  • Able to commute to the corporate office in Denver, CO.
  • Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the fall (up to 20 hours a week).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or Proficiency with IT systems, data analytics and visualization tools.

Responsibilities
