Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Enterprise Compliance Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Enterprise Compliance Senior Analyst - Third-Party Risk Management (Supplier Oversight) and Record Retention. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide compliance assessment and ‘second line-of-defense’ level third party risk mitigation (supplier oversight) to the Toyota Financial Services (TFS) organization (TFS, LFS, MFS, and BPSFS). The Enterprise Compliance Senior Analyst will have responsibility to accurately assess and mitigate risk exposure at a supplier and service level. Additionally, this position will also have responsibility for the Company’s Record Retention Schedule Program. Reporting to the Enterprise Compliance Manager, this team member will have frequent opportunities to influence the entire organization of ‘first line of defense’ business owners and stakeholders through assessment reviews, issue remediation, consultative engagements, and project management at a leading automotive finance services company. What you’ll be doing As a primary contributor, your activities will include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent professional work experience in similar field and industry
  • A minimum of 4 years prior experience supporting supplier oversight, audit and/or testing within a financial services or banking organization
  • Strong understanding of supplier lifecycle, necessary risk assessment, control mitigation, and financial services
  • General knowledge of state and federal regulations that apply to service provider oversight, consumer protection, privacy, debt collections, vehicle repossessions, and credit reporting
  • Previous risk experience that includes a strong ability to understand complex processes, identify deficiencies, and facilitate mitigation

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree or higher in related discipline
  • More than 4 years prior experience as a third-party risk professional within a financial services or banking organization (automotive lending preferred)
  • Compliance/Third-Party Risk Certifications (i.e., CRVPM, TPRM, CCEP, CCCCP, CRCM, CTPRP) and/or Auditing Certifications: CIA/CISA

Responsibilities

  • Conducting new supplier due diligence reviews, supplier annual assessments, and off-boarding assessments
  • Leading supplier deficiency identification, investigation, and remediation/risk mitigation
  • Conducting follow-up with suppliers and business units to respond to control process questions
  • Lead business unit risk mitigation discussions
  • Determining supplier residual risk scoring and updating inherent risk scoring
  • Reporting and tracking program metrics and performance
  • Developing and administering supplemental control assessments and ad-hoc questions
  • Developing and maintaining business owner community content
  • Administering the TMCC Record Retention Program including, handling team member inquiries, attestation tracking, training, physical off-site inventory, and record retention schedule updates
  • Leading and/or participating in continuous improvement projects that includes needs analysis, project planning, process documentation, and system testing
