About The Position

The Enterprise Architect drives alignment between NCIS IT capabilities and DoD/DoN Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards. The Enterprise Architect ensures technology modernization, application rationalization, and cloud-readiness initiatives are coordinated across NCIS’s IT portfolio. We are seeking a Enterprise Architect to join our team on NCIS Information Technology Directorate (ITD) Support Services. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Information Systems, engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise IT architecture, systems design, or IT strategic planning. 3+ years supporting federal or DoD enterprise architecture initiatives.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture principles, application rationalization, data integration, and system interoperability.
  • Familiar with DoD EA policies, DODAF Department of Defense Architecture Framework views, and system modernization strategies.
  • Clearance requirement: Active Top Secret
  • US Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as TOGAF, DODAF Department of Defense Architecture Framework , or FEAF Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework training strongly preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation or PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the NCIS Enterprise Architecture roadmap.
  • Align application modernization with DoD/DON architecture standards (e.g., DODAF Department of Defense Architecture Framework).
  • Collaborate with data governance and cybersecurity teams on enterprise integration.
  • Assess emerging technologies for NCIS mission applicability.
  • Lead efforts to eliminate redundant tools and drive system consolidation.
  • Support IT Portfolio Management and strategic IT investment planning.
  • Ensure alignment of technical solutions with NCIS and ITD objectives.
