Requirements

  • 5+ years Oracle and Microsoft SQL DBA experience
  • Clearance requirement: Top Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship

Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise database administration for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting DON OA applications.
  • Perform routine and advanced DBA functions including performance tuning, backups, recovery, archiving, and patching.
  • Design, create, modify, and maintain databases to support both legacy and future systems.
  • Implement and manage automated DBA processes to improve reliability, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Ensure database security through access controls, monitoring, and compliance with DoD/DON security requirements.
  • Support backend database development and integration efforts in coordination with application developers and system engineers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date database documentation, schemas, and configuration records.
  • Support data cataloging initiatives by coordinating with Information Owners to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist with troubleshooting database-related incidents and participate in root cause analysis as required.
