Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 2 years of relevant credentialing and payer enrollment experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates provider and facility payer credentialing and re-credentialing
  • Maintains current provider required documentation in accordance with payer requirements.
  • Completes provider and facility payer credentialing and re-credentialing applications monitors applications and follow-up as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for payer credentialing/enrollment
  • Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and systems, including CAQH
  • Maintains and updates credentialing reports
  • Communicates health plan coverage changes, additions, deletions across HealthSource and Centerprise.
  • Assists billing staff on issues pertaining to payer credentialing denials.
