Position Summary Responsible for the recruitment and admission of first year, transfer, graduate and non-traditional students to Texas Wesleyan University. This position works closely with prospective new students in the support of the transition to Texas Wesleyan University. Essential Duties And Responsibilities - Serve as the liaison between Texas Wesleyan University and assigned schools, colleges, universities, and organizations in an effort to recruit new students to the University. - Connect with students, faculty, staff and organizations in an effort for Texas Wesleyan to be known and accessible on each assigned campus or organization. - Communicate current information on opportunities policies and procedures for students interested in attending Texas Wesleyan. - Develop recruitment plans for assigned schools, colleges and/or campuses. - Provide weekly, monthly and year-end reports on territory activity (including prospect and applicant reports). - Recruit prospective students through college fairs/programs, schools, community colleges, businesses, churches and other professional contacts both locally and regionally. - Review, process, and evaluate applications and transcripts for admission and academic scholarship recommendations. - Maintain effective communication with prospective students and applicants regarding admission and enrollment processes. - Provide follow-up for prospective students that can include telephone calls, emails, texts, and letters. - Provide prospective students/families with academic and financial aid information. - Advise prospective students concerning program options, course availability, and degree requirements. - Input student and applicant data into various student information systems. - Create advising worksheets for prospects and applicants. - Connect prospective students and applicants with appropriate on-campus offices to assist with questions and processes. - Assist with additional recruiting in the domestic admission office as needed. - Provide support for campus tours, open houses, orientations and other recruitment events on campus for prospective students and their families as needed. - Assist in the planning and development for on-campus admission programs. - Give admissions-related presentations to tour groups, school groups, and prospective students. - Maintain a positive working relationship with faculty, staff, and students within the Texas Wesleyan community. - Adhere to the Statement of Principles of Good Practice of the NACAC . Actively participate in TACRAO and other professional organizations. - Other duties as assigned by the Domestic Admissions Office.
