About The Position

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Claremont Immersion School.

All Teachers/Instructional Staff hired after January 15th are considered term
employees. This position is a term position that is effective for FY26 through
June 18, 2026 only. You would need to re-apply for a position for FY27.

Responsibilities

Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
Elementary Education
endorsement.
English as a Second Language PreK-12 certification required.
Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education is
preferred but not required.

Experience

Teaching experience in the above-mentioned areas
Knowledge of best instructional practices
Ability to integrate
tecnology
Experience in educational and instructional leadership

Responsibilities

Ability to work effectively as a team member with colleagues.
Flexible, dependable, and highly organized.
Desire to work with diverse community of learners.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with APS English Learner program models and assessment procedures
for English learner students.

Salary will be based on the FY2025-26 salary schedule.
