About The Position

Through personal and managerial coordination actions, ensure that all warranty returns are analyzed and tested in sufficient detail to identify failure mechanism(s), assign liability, and collect appropriate data to categorize common root causes. Provide feedback or directly implement corrective action to resolve identified failure modes. Communicate with internal and external customers on warranty and quality issues. Develop and/or refine product return processes and procedures thereby improving customer experience, enhancing product quality and reducing quality costs for industrial X-ray sources and subsystems. Develops and implements cost-effective solutions for product and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analyses of warranty return parts, claims and costs to determine corrective and preventative actions to support customers, production and suppliers
  • Carry out hands-on inspection, solicit input from operators and perform diagnostics of components and review against the specification to understand short falls.
  • Provide support to the framework for the warranty returns, customer concerns and the company problem solving/root cause analysis system.
  • Communicate fault and liability information to the relevant internal management in order to obtain robust interim and permanent corrective actions aimed at warranty prevention and cost reduction
  • Contribute to ensuring lessons learned from warranty analysis are communicated to management to be captured on new projects
  • Provide monthly updates on historical and project scrap and warranty costs
  • Review and validation of results from scrap and warranty spend reduction projects
  • Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results
  • Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to customer quality problems
  • Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety
  • Prepare product reports and documentation
  • Communicate with customers regarding warranty incidents and issues.
  • Use Computer/Software programs including SAP, ETQ, Microsoft Office, etc., to record data, research trends, and close Return Authorization reports.
