About The Position

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Under federal regulations, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this clearance. THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD Engineering Technologists and Technicians, Except Drafters, All Other (Engineering Technician IV) (Journeyman). Function: Applies engineering principles to assist with and be responsible for non-routine and complex assignments to include planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project. Duties will include selecting and adapting plans, techniques, designs, or layouts; contacting personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work; and reviewing, analyzing, and integrating the technical work of others. This position may also assist by performing one or a combination of the following: a. Assists with designing, developing, and constructing major units, devices, or equipment; conducting tests or experiments; analyzing results and redesigns: or modifying equipment to improve performance and by subsequently reporting the results. b. Assists with developing difficult designs for equipment such as engine parts, research instruments, or special purpose circuitry given general guidelines and specifications (e.g., size or weight requirements), but without access to critical performance requirements. Assists with analyzing technical data to determine applicability to design problems; selecting from several possible design layouts; calculating design data; and preparing layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, etc. c. Assists with planning tests to evaluate equipment performance; determining test requirements, equipment modification, and test procedures; conducting tests using all types of instruments; analyzing and evaluating test results; and preparing reports on findings and recommendations. Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Under federal regulations, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this clearance.
  • Of the minimum three years of experience required, at least two years of experience must be directly related to electronics or engineering technology to include installation of ATC&LS equipment and the design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any technical discipline or associate’s degree and 4 years of experience or 6 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.
