This position serves as the plats and plans technician and part of a survey crew that establishes existing and proposed centerlines of highways; runs control levels to establish elevations; and locates, describes, measures and obtains elevations of all topographic features. This position also establishes control for aerial mapping projects, stakes right-of way (ROW), prepares field books, computations, ROW plans, exhibits, parcel sketches and reports using computer aided design and drafting (CADD) software, performs courthouse deed and survey research, and performs departmental file research.
