About The Position

In this position... As a VIS Supervisor in Final Assembly, you will lead a talented team of engineers, guiding your team in the application of final assembly tooling to ensure our tier 1 suppliers are adhering to GVOSS with final assembly tooling throughout design & build. This role is perfect for a proven leader who thrives on solving complex challenges, developing team members, and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment as well as supplier management and supplier relations.

Requirements

  • B.S. Engineering- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience or similar related technical field; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • 2+ years' experience in Mfg leadership capacity

Responsibilities

  • Manage tier 1 tooling supplier compliance to GVOSS for Co-lead tooling buyoffs with M&E team and Tier 1s
  • Manage supplier relations and expectations once awarded project with Ford
  • Facilitate any necessary improvements between Ford and Teir 1 supplier partnerships
  • Drive standardization for Final Assembly Tooling
  • Ensure the "Lessons Learned" loop from implementation back to core is being realized with the tooling supplier base
  • Team Leadership & Development: Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning .
