For delivered submarines, the group also provides fleet support to respond to emergent and/or operational issues. The team is expected to support development of ShipALTs and prepares maintenance and logistic documentation. As the supervisor of this group, your responsibilities in support of leading your team will include: Assigning work Providing guidance and direction Delivering results in safety, technical quality, cost and schedule performance Closely coordinating with the waterfront organizations and processes at Groton and HII-NNS Interfacing with US NAVY Fleet, NAVSEA, NSWCCD and SUPSHIP customers Approving engineering documentation, engineering dispositions to 3G, 7G ( Reports, LARs, UNSATS, , PDDI, etc.), Technical Work Documents (CPRs), ILS documentation, Work Deferral Requests, Departures from Specification, etc. ShipALT development (system & component drawings) Engineering Support of various FBW Special Emphasis Program Audits As co-isea perform crew training and crew surveys Support incentive design performance goals for the dept Fostering a collaborative, hands-on, proactive, and technically rigorous approach to engineering and problem solving in a dynamic and time-sensitive environment Ensuring that the root causes for problems are identified and the production/test program is modified to eliminate errors as early as possible in the process Staffing to support shipyard construction and delivery schedules Supporting employee professional development and preservation of critical technical skills and knowledge Support and travel at new construction sites (Groton, and Newport News) and US Naval Shipyards under the ISEA tasks. Supporting work outside of normal working hours, as required, to support VIRGINIA Program Objectives
