About The Position

As an Engineering Sr Manager at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in managing a highly skilled team that provides comprehensive engineering, scientific, technical, and programmatic support services. These services are essential for research, development, test, and evaluation activities related to acoustic and non-acoustic ship signatures, aiming to enhance the U.S. Navy's stealth capabilities. This impactful work contributes directly to the mission of the Ship Signatures Department of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division.

Requirements

  • Education: BS
  • Experience: 20 years of related experience managing Navy systems projects related to U.S. Navy submarine or surface ship signature measurement or reduction
  • Twelve years of experience in program planning and management experience in: Long-range technology development project analysis and documentation at the Exploratory and advanced Development R&D levels
  • Twelve years of experience in program planning and management experience in: Financial status monitoring of projects involving multiple funding categories
  • Twelve years of experience in program planning and management experience in: Acoustic recording systems development and certification, advanced development sonars, or ship signature Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) projects
  • Twelve years of experience in program planning and management experience in: Signature measurement systems management, underwater acoustic programs, or ship signature trial planning
  • Security clearance level: Secret/TS/SCI Eligible
  • US citizenship required
