About The Position

Advanced Technology & Research Corporation (www.atrcorp.com) is seeking to fill the following full-time permanent/part time position. The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, Under the direction of Division Vice President, working as a team leader at Carderock and Beltsville, MD, involved in managing 110 plus people with rapidly growing potentials that provide engineering services to the Navy under two Seaport-Next Generation contracts. This can be a full-time or part-time position with some telework options. The Engineering Services Manager (ESM) is responsible for personnel, financial, and Navy contracts management and execution.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years related experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint)
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Job experience with the NSWC, NAVSEA, OPNAV, or ONR
  • Personnel, Project or Program management experience is a plus
  • Current successful background investigation completion is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Financial, personnel, business development, Navy contract management, proposals, and compliance
  • Manage employees working in the Engineering Services Division
  • Work with customers and contracts to resource and execute Technical Instructions received under the contracts
  • Develop resource planning to meet contract requirements
  • Work with Navy customers and HR to develop position descriptions, attend college career fairs, and conduct interviews
  • Ensure efficiency in all engineering and operational activities including Navy contracts management, compliance, & execution
  • Interact with Navy customers at their work sites and participate in business development and writing proposals
  • Recruit, source, interview and hire for the engineering services division
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
