About The Position

Stellant Systems is seeking an onsite Engineering Services Associate at our Torrance, California site. In this this role, you will manage product documentation and configuration using PLM and CAD systems and ensure compliance with established configuration management principles, standards and command media.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Will substitute additional years of experience for education.
  • Familiarity with command media related to document control and configuration management required.
  • Knowledge of engineering change principles.
  • Knowledge of basic drawing principles and standards
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform algebraic calculations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (e.g. Green Card holder), or a protected individual as defined by the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

  • Work with designers, engineers, supply chain, CAD admin and IT to ensure release process and PLM functionality (Windchill, LN) meets the needs of the company as it relates to Document Control.
  • Work with designers and engineers to define bills of material and their associated PLM attributes (-99, general dispositions, orphaned part dispositioning, etc).
  • Release documents and bills of material into PLM system at completion of ECN (Engineering Change Notice) process.
  • Update documents (Word, Excel, etc) and drawings (AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Creo) according to Engineering Change Notice authorization.
  • Submits ECNs to approval system.
  • Compile product configuration information for PMO and customer requirements (EIDPs, ADABs, TRBs).
  • Act as CCB Chair representative and chairs CCB meetings. Communicates or executes action items identified at CCB.
  • Ensure accuracy of non-drawing documents (PNP, manufacturing docs, forms, etc).
  • Manage archive of documents and processing of product build documentation to comply with retention requirements.
  • Delegate work to other Document Control personnel.
  • Audit released ECNs and trains other Document Control personnel where applicable.
  • Prepare for and assists with external audits (AS9100 and DCMA).
  • Execute computer workflows, such as releasing documents in a PLM system, updating a document in Word, checking out a drawing from a database, among many others.
  • Identify potential problems with bills of materials or attributes before they are published or released
  • Other related duties as assigned by management.
