Charlotte Water is an enterprise department of the City of Charlotte and one of the largest public water and sewer service providers in the southeast with over 330,000 customer accounts and over 1100 employees. Our service area includes the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and the towns of Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mint Hill, Matthews and Pineville. The position will assist with the implementation and execution of the rehabilitation and upgrade program for the City’s wastewater treatment plants. The position may assist with or be assigned to lead wastewater treatment plant projects that will ensure the reliability, optimization, and functionality of the plant. The position will serve as the primary point of contact between operations staff and staff from other divisions, vendors, and contractors to ensure all components and requirements of the project are fulfilled. The position requires the ability to work well as part of a team and convey different types of information to a variety of audiences. This position may also be assigned special projects as necessary. The candidate must be flexible with assignments and be self-motivated.
