About The Position

The Engineering Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst is responsible for establishing and driving project management excellence within the North American (NA) Engineering organization. This role serves as a central point of governance, enabling engineering teams to deliver the strategic capital plan on time, within scope, and within budget, while promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. The Engineering PMO Analyst supports the planning, execution, and governance of engineering projects and programs. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining PMO processes and tools aligned with best practice engineering workflows. The role also partners with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and communicate project performance through key metrics and KPIs. Overall, the Engineering PMO Analyst will facilitate efficient engineering operations and support the achievement of successful project outcomes. Work Environment & Travel: This is a remote position with up to 15% travel. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Jackson, MI, or Louisville, KY are strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, PMO, or oversight of technical projects within environments supporting engineering or technical teams. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in similar roles within engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with engineering teams and project managers to support the planning, execution, and delivery of project initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of PMO processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other comparable ERP platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills
  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including requisitions, purchase orders (POs), goods receipts (GRs), invoicing, and terms and conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint administration preferred
  • Experience in the Food Industry or Consumer Packaged Goods Industry preferred
  • Experience working in manufacturing is desired

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all NA Engineering PMO processes to enable consistent results, risk mitigation, and successful implementation of the capital project portfolio through standardized processes and tools.
  • Oversee project governance, standards, and best practices for project execution.
  • Compile and present data for the entire portfolio of engineering projects regarding financial tracking, project reports, project initiation, and project closing processes.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Manage all capex performance data, tools, and KPI reporting.
  • Oversee the annual 5-year capital planning process.
  • Lead communication, planning, execution, and data organization.
  • Monitor project performance using KPIs, dashboards, and reporting in various systems.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, quality, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide training and coaching for all subjects related to Engineering PMO processes, tools, reporting, and financials.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, FSQA, EHS, R&D, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Work with the Engineering Team and Accounts Payable Team to address PO, GR, and invoicing issues to ensure project financials stay on track.
  • Provide direction to capital asset categorization and depreciation processes.
  • Perform various auditing functions throughout the capital project lifecycle.
  • Own the administration and optimization of the NA Engineering SharePoint site to ensure current and accurate information, as well as support team collaboration.
  • Project management support and leadership as required.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
