Description PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Safety & Compliance Ensure engineering activities comply with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies. Champion process safety initiatives and participate in audits, HAZOPs, and incident investigations. Develop and maintain documentation and standards for equipment, systems, and processes. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical specialists. Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans for the engineering team. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and technical excellence. Plant Engineering & Reliability Oversee design and optimization of plant equipment, systems, and infrastructure. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert guidance to Operations and Maintenance. Process Improvement & Optimization Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Lead root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions for process deviations or equipment failures. Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to optimize manufacturing performance. Capital Projects Manage planning, justification, and execution of capital projects ranging from equipment upgrades to facility expansions. Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and risk assessments. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations to support daily production goals and resolve technical challenges. Work with Quality to ensure manufacturing processes meet product specifications and standards. Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement on equipment sourcing and vendor evaluation. Work with Maintenance to prevent electrical and mechanical obsolescence of controls and equipment. Partner with HSE to incorporate company health, safety, and environmental requirements into plant equipment and processes. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineers, supervisors, or technical teams preferred. Proven track record of leading reliability programs, process improvement initiatives, or capital projects. JOB REQUIREMENTS Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills. Deep understanding of plant systems, manufacturing processes, and industrial equipment. Proficiency in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, reliability engineering, or project management methodologies preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of OSHA, environmental regulations, and industry-specific safety standards preferred.
