About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Process Engineering team at our Kansas manufacturing facility supporting advanced radar systems. This role is responsible for team leadership, manufacturing process development, and continuous improvement across product industrialization, production, and delivery. INITIAL INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL TO SPAIN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. PASSPORT AND US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
  • 7+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or industrialization
  • Prior leadership or people management experience required
  • Travel - international and domestic
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and process optimization
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and BOMs
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in complex, regulated, or safety-critical environments (e.g., aerospace, defense, electronics) preferred
  • Spanish language skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage a multidisciplinary Process Engineering team supporting manufacturing operations
  • Drive process development and industrialization for radar system production (development through deployment)
  • Oversee manufacturing process design, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and automation readiness
  • Review and optimize technical documentation (drawings, 3D models, schematics, BOMs) for manufacturability
  • Establish and maintain standard work and production documentation (work instructions, routings, process changes)
  • Monitor and improve KPIs, production performance, and cost targets
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, process optimization, cost reduction)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams
  • Support capacity planning and production scenarios to meet delivery goals
  • Lead efforts in plant layout, tooling, and equipment planning
  • Participate in make vs. buy decisions and supplier coordination (RFQs, cost tracking, quality oversight)
  • Support internal projects focused on manufacturing technology and process innovation
