About The Position

Sprig is building a world-class product experience platform used by millions of people globally. As an Engineering Manager on our Product team, you will lead the group responsible for building and operating high-performance SDKs and the dashboard workflows that power how customers design, manage, and deploy research studies. This team sits at the intersection of product experience, performance, and reliability. You will partner closely with Product and Design to shape technical direction while ensuring the platform meets the reliability, security, and scalability needs of enterprise customers. This role is based in San Francisco and follows a three days per week in-office hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and growing frontend, mobile, or full-stack engineering teams.
  • A hands-on leadership style with comfort staying close to the code and guiding architectural decisions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise requirements including performance, security, and service-level expectations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate across technical and non-technical audiences and drive alignment.
  • A deep care for user experience and a passion for building tools that developers genuinely enjoy using.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building or supporting Mobile SDKs or developer-facing SDKs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive a clear technical vision for the Product Engineering team, influencing both roadmap execution and broader engineering standards.
  • Partner deeply with Product and Design to translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Build, coach, and retain a high-performing engineering team in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Lead delivery of Web, Mobile, and Desktop SDKs, along with dashboard features focused on study creation and management.
  • Balance speed and quality while maintaining a high bar for performance, security, and reliability for enterprise customers.
  • Promote strong ownership across the team, ensuring systems are observable, maintainable, and resilient at scale.
  • Encourage continuous improvement, thoughtful technical tradeoffs, and knowledge sharing across engineering.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success and Sales to deliver an excellent developer and customer experience.
