About The Position

YOUR OPPORTUNITY You’ll plan, direct and oversee the Engineering Department of Bacardi Jacksonville and own the Site Master Plan to ensure site is properly design for the future. The Engineering Manager is responsible for strategic planning of capital investments, preparation of Budget, development of Business Cases together with operations team, execution of projects on time and within defined Budget, and implement operational excellence initiatives to ensure reliability, compliance, and productivity in manufacturing. ABOUT YOU In this role, you’ll demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to oversee daily operations as you example Founder’s Mentality. Your ability to lead by example, manage staff effectively, and address any challenges fearlessly and promptly will be key to build a culture of “making moments matter” while “keeping the consumer at the heart of everything we do.”

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; PMI certification preferred.
  • 7–10 years’ experience in maintenance management in manufacturing ( Retail Industry, Spirit industry, or Hospitality)
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 14000, GMP, Lean Manufacturing, and OSHA.
  • Knowledge of Computer Software: MS Office / Teams / SAP / Fiori
  • Strong budget management and negotiation skills.
  • Time management., Problem solving, Analytical, Strategic and Planning skills
  • Strong supervision skills. Decision making and Stakeholder Management
  • High learning agility, adaptability, and track record of exceptional results
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Highly organized, motivated, detail oriented, a sense of urgency, and an ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills. Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Site Master Plan.
  • Evaluate site opportunities to improve infrastructure, layout, process performance, energy efficiency, industrial safety, automation and process digitalization to be included in Site Master Plan.
  • Own the Site Capital Investment Portfolio
  • Develop (Define Scope, Budget and Prioritization) Capex Master Plan aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the planning, execution and closure of CAPEX projects using project management methodologies.
  • Establish and effectively lead project budgets and objectives.
  • Support Procurement to define the Procurement Strategy for each project.
  • Oversee vendor negotiations, contract management, and procurement processes.
  • Participate in vendor selection and manage service contracts within scope.
  • Assists in the design, installation, and commissioning of the site Capex portfolio ensuring that activities are aligned with production and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor the project progress through its lifecycle to ensure the defined deliverables are completed within schedule, budget and quality standards.
  • Establish and Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Capex Management.
  • Ensure that project updates are communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure all the required project documentation is available and stored.
  • Lead Focus Improvements initiatives submitted by employees (Ideas) from design, procurement, construction and installation, and Start Up & Closeout
  • Collaborate with and drive cross functional team and business stakeholders to manage project scope, timeline and budget.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools to increase efficiency.
  • Review Asset performance, identify opportunities and make improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards and procedures in the area
  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily engineering activities.
  • Manage annual operating budget for the Engineering Department.
  • Recruit, lead, develop, mentor/coach, motivate and evaluate multi-disciplinary engineering teams fostering a culture of performance, accountability and professional growth.
  • Owns Engineering drawings and documents Management Program.
  • Support Global Engineering Initiatives.
