Engineering Manager (Remote - US)
About The Position
In this role, you will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining core workflow systems and web-based tools that enable efficient customer data management. You will balance hands-on technical contributions with people leadership, guiding the team to deliver scalable, robust solutions while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Javascript/Typescript
- Experience building full-stack products and contributing to both frontend and backend systems
- 2+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams, delivering high-quality products in fast-paced environments
- Excellent technical communication skills for diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and remote teams
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to dive into complex technical issues when necessary
- Passion for privacy-focused technology and mission-driven work
- Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Guide technical decision-making, reviewing design documents and code changes to maintain high engineering standards
- Collaborate with product teams to plan and execute the roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Take on development tasks, debug production issues, and dive into both frontend and backend technical work when needed
- Grow the team by recruiting top engineering talent and supporting their professional development
- Ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions across workflows systems
- Maintain and improve engineering processes, best practices, and documentation
