About The Position

We’re seeking a self-motivated, highly driven Engineering Manager to lead our Shopper Personalization team. You’ll be at the helm of building and optimizing a cutting-edge platform that supports data-driven products and drives strategic outcomes for our customers. This team is building the platform that empowers our clients to curate audience segments, which Attentive uses across the platform to personalize content. By delivering more relevant and engaging messages, this drives higher performance for our clients and better experiences for their customers. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Machine Learning, Product Management, and Engineering leadership to ensure the Personalization platform meets the diverse needs of these teams and our clients. This hands-on role requires a balance of people management, technical direction, and cross-functional leadership, making it ideal for a leader who excels in driving innovation and execution.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of industry experience developing software, with a proven track record of solving complex product challenges and delivering impactful solutions
  • You are an outstanding coach and mentor, with a talent for developing high-performing teams and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
  • You have a strong commitment to software quality, with a history of building reliable, high-uptime systems that meet and exceed performance expectations
  • You excel at translating business needs and product requirements into well-defined projects, taking a hands-on approach to solution design, implementation, and execution
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment, working effectively with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals and ensure cohesive execution

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical vision for the team, aligning with company goals and driving strategic outcomes through innovative data solutions
  • Oversee the design and implementation of high-throughput data solutions, ensuring that they are scalable, efficient, and capable of powering critical operations
  • Partner with teams across AI, ML, analytics, and other departments to enhance and expand our search platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the organization
  • Establish and uphold high standards for data quality, governance, and system integration; addressing complex distributed data challenges with robust solutions
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and collaboration
  • Balance and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives while maintaining high standards of technical excellence
  • Champion the technical design, development, implementation and support of web stack and big data applications including extending its capabilities applications using existing and emerging technology platforms
