About The Position

This role provides the opportunity to lead a high-performing engineering team focused on Product-Led Growth (PLG), driving customer activation, engagement, and expansion across a complex travel platform. You will manage the full development lifecycle of initiatives that shape how customers experience the product, from onboarding through repeat usage and cross-sell opportunities. The position emphasizes collaboration with product, design, and data teams to implement experimentation-driven improvements that increase adoption, retention, and revenue. You will set strategic direction for your team, foster career growth, and ensure high standards for technical excellence, scalability, and quality. This role requires balancing technical leadership with operational management, agile process optimization, and cross-functional alignment. You will operate in a hybrid or fully remote environment while influencing key business outcomes through innovation and measurable results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects successfully.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and talent development skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication abilities.
  • Technical expertise in at least one of TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Kotlin, or Ruby on Rails, with experience on AWS and monitoring tools like Datadog.
  • Deep understanding of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Strategic and results-driven mindset, with adaptability and a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and growth.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and technical excellence.
  • Drive experimentation, iteration, and data-informed decision-making to improve product adoption and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and data teams to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
  • Implement agile methodologies, refine workflows, and optimize engineering processes and tools.
  • Act as a bridge between engineering and other teams, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating innovative solutions that enhance scalability and efficiency.
