Within our manufacturing facility in Lubbock – Leprino is seeking an Engineering Manager II to move our organization to even larger levels of cheese and dairy ingredient growth! We take pride in our vision to be "world's best", it is why we work harder, invest more, and continually innovate.   What You’ll Do: Lead and develop the Maintenance & Engineering organization by driving performance management, employee development, engagement, recognition, and a strong safety-first culture while consistently applying company and plant policies. Oversee capital planning and engineering initiatives, including identifying and managing capital projects, developing budgets and capital programs, controlling costs, ensuring documentation and compliance, and reporting progress to plant and corporate leadership. Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations by leading department safety programs, providing training and resources, maximizing equipment uptime, maintaining regulatory compliance, and meeting quality, yield, and efficiency targets. Partner cross-functionally to support production and business needs by coordinating with production leaders, integrating competing priorities, optimizing maintenance scheduling and workforce utilization, and managing departmental financial performance to deliver high-quality products at the lowest possible cost

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering or related field or similar work experience in related industry
  • 12+ years of experience in food manufacturing
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Dairy/Cheese manufacturing experience
  • Direct leadership experience over supervisors
