About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing engineering team focused on building enterprise-grade security features for large-scale clients. You will own the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, and reusable enterprise security solutions, including authentication, authorization, identity, and access management systems. The position combines hands-on engineering leadership with strategic oversight, partnering cross-functionally with product, security, SRE, and stakeholder teams to ensure solutions meet both customer and regulatory requirements. You will drive engineering best practices, mentor team members, and leverage cutting-edge tools—including AI-enabled development—to solve complex technical challenges. Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in backend development and secure systems.
  • 2+ years of hands-on engineering management experience, leading teams of 4–8 engineers.
  • Direct experience with Rust in production environments.
  • Expertise in security-sensitive systems, including authentication, authorization, identity, permissions, and auditability.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security standards and integrations, such as SSO, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Proven track record delivering and operating multi-tenant backend systems in production.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver enterprise security features and reusable capabilities across products and platforms.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure microservices and libraries, with a focus on Rust-based development.
  • Deliver modern enterprise authentication solutions and integrations with bring-your-own identity providers (IdPs), including SSO and provisioning automation (e.g., SCIM).
  • Establish and uphold high engineering standards, including code quality, documentation, and secure system design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Product, Security, SRE, and stakeholders—to prioritize work and ensure solutions align with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to enhance system scalability, reliability, and security while mentoring and coaching team members.
  • Utilize AI and other advanced tools to improve development efficiency and system performance.
