About The Position
Are you looking to join a dynamic and growing team, where you'll have the opportunity to lead and make a significant impact without the need for detailed engineering work or extensive travel? We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee the management of the electrical shop, engineering team, and internal projects. This is a demanding leadership role that will likely be part of the Senior Management Team. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background but will not be responsible for the day-to-day programming or detailed engineering work. The position offers little to no travel and focuses primarily on overseeing operations and ensuring efficient project completion. OEM machine industry experience is a must!
Requirements
- Engineering background, ideally with experience in electrical systems and engineering management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and overseeing complex projects.
- OEM industry experience is essential.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- No extensive travel required for this position.
- Strong background in industrial electrical engineering , particularly with AB-Rockwell products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Experience in managing projects to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- AS degree required.
- 5+ years of electrical engineering background with machine OEM experience required.
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years in custom equipment manufacturing.
- Experience with SolidWorks or Inventor
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- BS Degree preferred, ideally Electrical Engineering
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide leadership to the electrical shop and engineering team, ensuring effective performance and efficient project execution.
- Oversee internal projects, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with senior management to align project goals with company strategy.
- Monitor the performance of the engineering team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Ensure that all engineering work aligns with customer requirements, quality standards, and project deadlines.
