Georg Fischer is seeking an experienced, caring, and customer focused, Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Services team. The Engineering Manager, Custom Products provides Engineering Services for customers and key projects to support Georg Fischer Piping Systems sales teams in promoting total GF solutions and acquiring additional business. The position will continuously grow and develop Engineering Services and additional product revenues and margins. The Engineering Manager, Custom Products will oversee, monitor and report on all Custom Product Designs and Off-Site Fabrication projects within the team and ensure communication, timely delivery, quality of solution/services and pricing within agreed targets.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Creative critical thinking and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Passionate, inquisitive, and seek to tackle everyday problems in innovative ways
• Proactive and assertive personality
• Able to maintain effective relationships with different personalities

Nice To Haves

• PE certification preferred
• Ten years of job-related experience a plus
• Knowledge and experience with piping, plumbing techniques and technologies preferred

Responsibilities

• Providing and coordinating global Engineering and Project Services for customers (Large scale projects, KAM, etc.)
• Actively support the sales team to acquire additional business thanks to engineering and project support.
• Build and expand the market position of Georg Fischer Piping System with these services globally. This includes the amount of service hours invoiced to customers.
• Manage and develop the Engineering Services team and the tools for engineering and project support to grow and be more effective and efficient for Custom Products Design and Off-Site Fabrication.
• Ensure standards of timely delivery on offers and pricing to meet expectations.
• Communicate on Engineering Services via various channels and utilize internal and external speaking opportunities to promote Engineering Services from Georg Fischer Piping Systems.
• Monitor and report market trends and customers to Engineering Services
• Other duties as assigned.
