About The Position

The Department Developer Enablement is a function of the CTO organization. Our mission is to make it easy and enjoyable for software engineering teams to go from a business idea to delivering an innovative product solution. The main goals are to improve and upgrade our tools, streamline our processes, automate and strengthen our controls, and help development teams adopt modern working methods. The Role Software Engineers are critical to building the products and services we need to deliver innovative tooling within our department. Joining us a Senior Software Engineer working in Gen AI you will have the opportunity to build high-profile products, work closely with a talented group of peers and have the room to build and improve your own skillset. We believe that our Engineers should be a part of all steps of our product from idea to execution and you will be a key part along every step of that journey. You will also work with Generative AI technologies, such as GPT-5 or Gemini, embedding their capabilities in our systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of user needs and contributing to the overall product vision. Technologies that will make a candidate successful include (but are not limited to) Python, TypeScript, React, Mongo and Generative AI.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer in product teams
Strong Experience delivering Python and GenAI products into production
Strong hands-on experience with LLMs and fine-tuning methods
Experience building RAG systems, including hybrid search and multi-vector retrieval
Practical knowledge of model optimization (compression, quantization) and familiarity with tools such as DeepSpeed, vLLM, GPTQ, or similar
Proven experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines for APIs and ML models.
Experience working in an agile software development environment
Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, container-based micro-services, distributed logs, and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with NodeJs and React
Experience with testing frameworks such as PyTest and Playwright
Able to identify and solve problems effectively
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A strong product mindset, putting the user requirements at the forefront of decision making
Connected to latest technologies in Generative AI, and keen to put them in practice
Pragmatic, and a creative approach to managing risk
A growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Shows enthusiasm and develops trust through empathy

A self-starter with the ability to work effectively in teams and remotely

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test software applications
Work closely with other team members to ensure that the software is developed and delivered on time and within budget
Set the standards for what good looks like; High quality software and great user experiences
Stay up to date on the latest software development trends and technologies
Work with a wide variety of teams across the organisation and help drive them towards an everything-as-code and a codified controls mind-set
Support and drive cultural change, instigating critical thinking about controls and processes and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
Utilize Python for scripting, automation, data processing, machine learning integration, and API development.
Act as a technical leader and mentor to a team of software engineers, providing guidance on best practices, code quality, design patterns, and problem-solving.
